At our core, we represent a different kind of approach to the Toronto rental market. Our founders live, play, and raise our families in the neighbourhoods that we build in. We understand and seek to preserve what is truly valuable and authentic while pushing the boundaries of design and utilization of spaces that have been overlooked.
Our motivation? Who else would we trust to strike the balance between what is and what could be in the places we call home?

Roughly in the middle of what has always been done, and what could be done is our sweet spot. We think this is the secret to producing progressive designs and spaces that people will be proud to live in in the midst of established neighborhoods already thriving. In essence, it's how we address the missing middle.
pride.
There's something that's being squeezed out in the city's fast-growing housing market; pride. As rental units shrink in size and being to resemble the lowest common denominator, we think it's important to build spaces that we are proud of, and would be proud to live in. This reality informs all of the things we decide to do and it's how we can be sure our projects are worthwhile.

We're independently funded by a group of dedicated and patient investors which means we can finish what we start. Building in Toronto has its share of red tape and bullshit, and marketing properties has been blown out of all proportions. But, we (think we) have stayed immune to this, allowing us to focus on great buildings.

Our team is comprised of individuals from untraditional backgrounds who have lived here and there, done this and that, and arrived at the fact that progress is best effected locally. We choose our projects carefully and throw ourselves into our work. We balance deliberate planning and design with the discipline to treat what has been done, and what has never been done in equal measure. We are architects, builders, thinkers, planners, and friends who are too pleased to be able to share our energy and effort with our clients.
